London Mule — Achill’s, Villefranche-sur-Mer
The English take: gin's juniper meets the bite of ginger.
Price : €12.50
Ingredients
- Gin — Born in the Netherlands as genever and adopted by England in the 18th century: a grain spirit redistilled with juniper, coriander, citrus and angelica. Piney, floral and citrus notes that bridge the bitter and the sweet.
- Lemon juice — Freshly squeezed at the bar. Brought to the Mediterranean along Arab trade routes, the lemon is one of the Riviera's prides, from Menton to the hills of Grasse. Freshness, tension and a lively mouthfeel.
- Ginger beer — A fermented ginger drink born in 18th-century England. The Moscow Mule made it famous in Los Angeles in 1941. Ginger heat, bubbles and plenty of freshness.
