Ingredients

• Rye whiskey — Rye whiskey, the historic American whiskey of Maryland and Pennsylvania. Spice, pepper and toasted bread: drier and livelier than a classic bourbon.
• Lime juice — Native to Southeast Asia, the lime conquered the Caribbean and Mexico before becoming a bar essential. A zesty, tropical, almost floral perfume.
• Triple Sec — A liqueur of sweet and bitter orange peels, born in France in the 19th century. A bright orange note bridging spirit and citrus.
• Orgeat syrup — A French almond syrup with orange-blossom water, and the key to the Mai Tai, invented in California in 1944. Almond and orange blossom, with a silky texture.
